(3rd tri) The Fault in Our Stars (4)

The author, John Green, uses very good diction and syntax in the book The Fault In Our Stars. For example he uses fragments and short sentences to emphasize points and to say something straight forward. Some examples of this are, "Right, of course.", "Saved the kids.", and "Nah, I'm good." Another example is elevated diction, such as, “astonishing" and "catastrophic". He also uses rhetorical questions, one example of a rhetorical question he used is, "Did you seriously forget?"
